Apple is planning to make its AirPods wireless earbuds at a factory run by Foxconn in Hyderabad. This factory, with an investment of $400 million from Foxconn, is set to start making AirPods on a large scale by December 2024.

A research company called Canalys found that in the last part of 2022, Apple had about 36% of the market for wireless earbuds. Samsung came next with 7.5%, then Xiaomi with 4.4%, Boat with 4%, and Oppo with 3%. Xiaomi has also started making its wireless earbuds in India this year.
